4：15有声音从但传扬，从以法莲山报祸患。
For a voice declareth from Dan； and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim。
4：16你们当传给列国，报告攻击耶路撒冷的事说，有探望的人从远方来到，向犹大的城邑大声呐喊。
Make ye mention to the nations； behold； publish against Jerusalem； that watchers e from a far country； and give out their voice against the cities of Judah。
4：17他们周围攻击耶路撒冷，好像看守田园的，因为她背叛了我。这是耶和华说的。
As keepers of a field； are they against her round about； because she hath been rebellious against me； saith the LORD。
4：18你的行动，你的作为，招惹这事。这是你罪恶的结果，实在是苦，是害及你心了。
Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee； this is thy wickedness； because it is bitter； because it reacheth unto thine heart。
4：19我的肺腑阿，我的肺腑阿，我心疼痛。我心在我里面烦躁不安。我不能静默不言，因为我已经听见角声和打仗的喊声。
My bowels； my bowels！ I am pained at my very heart； my heart maketh a noise in me； I cannot hold my peace； because thou hast heard； O my soul； the sound of the trumpet； the alarm of war。
4：20毁坏的信息连络不绝，因为全地荒废。我的帐棚忽然毁坏。我的幔子顷刻破裂。
Destruction upon destruction is cried； for the whole land is spoiled： suddenly are my tents spoiled； and my curtains in a moment。
4：21我看见大旗，听见角声，要到几时呢。
How long shall I see the standard； and hear the sound of the trumpet？
4：22耶和华说，我的百性愚顽，不认识我。他们是愚昧无知的儿女，有智慧行恶，没有知识行善。
For my people is foolish； they have not known me； they are sottish children； and they have none understanding： they are wise to do evil； but to do good they have no knowledge。
4：23先知说，我观看地，不料，地是空虚混沌。我观看天，天也无光。
I beheld the earth； and； lo； it was without form； and void； and the heavens； and they had no light。
4：24我观看大山，不料，尽都震动，小山也都摇来摇去。
I beheld the mountains； and； lo； they trembled； and all the hills moved lightly。
4：25我观看，不料，无人。空中的飞鸟也都躲避。
I beheld； and； lo； there was no man； and all the birds of the heavens were fled。
4：26我观看，不料，肥田变为荒地。一切城邑在耶和华面前，因他的烈怒都被拆毁。
I beheld； and； lo； the fruitful place was a wilderness； and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD； and by his fierce anger。
4：27耶和华如此说，全地必然荒凉，我却不毁灭净尽。
For thus hath the LORD said； The whole land shall be desolate； yet will I not make a full end。
4：28因此，地要悲哀，在上的天也必黑暗。因为我言已出，我意已定，必不后悔，也不转意不作。
For this shall the earth mourn； and the heavens above be black： because I have spoken it； I have purposed it； and will not repent； neither will I turn back from it。
4：29各城的人因马兵和弓箭手的响声就都逃跑，进入密林，爬上磐石。各城被撇下，无人住在其中。
The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen； they shall go into thickets； and climb up upon the rocks： every city shall be forsaken； and not a man dwell therein。
4：30你凄凉的时候要怎样行呢。你虽穿上朱红衣服，佩戴黄金装饰，用颜料修饰眼目，这样标致是枉然的。恋爱你的藐视你，并且寻索你的性命。
And when thou art spoiled； what wilt thou do？ Though thou clothest thyself with crimson； though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold； though thou rentest thy face with painting； in vain shalt thou make thyself fair； thy lovers will despise thee； they will seek thy life。
4：31我听见有声音，彷佛妇人产难的声音，好像生头胎疼痛的声音，是锡安女子（女子就是指民的意思）的声音。她喘着气，？？挲手，说，我有祸了。在杀人的跟前，我的心发昏了。
For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail； and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child； the voice of the daughter of Zion； that bewaileth herself； that spreadeth her hands； saying； Woe is me now！ for my soul is wearied because of murderers。

5：1你们当在耶路撒冷的街上跑来跑去，在宽阔处寻梢，看看有一人行公义求诚实没有。若有，我就赦免这城。
Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem； and see now； and know； and seek in the broad places thereof； if ye can find a man； if there be any that executeth judgment； that seeketh the truth； and I will pardon it。
5：2其中的人虽然指着永生的耶和华起誓，所起的誓实在是假的。
And though they say； The LORD liveth； surely they swear falsely。
5：3耶和华阿，你的眼目不是看顾诚实吗。你击打他们，他们却不伤恸。你毁灭他们，他们仍不受惩治。他们使脸刚硬过于磐石，不肯回头。
O LORD； are not thine eyes upon the truth？ thou hast stricken them； but they have not grieved； thou hast consumed them； but they have refused to receive correction： they have made their faces harder than a rock； they have refused to return。
5：4我说，这些人实在是贫穷的，是愚昧的，因为不晓得耶和华的作为和他们神的法则。
Therefore I said； Surely these are poor； they are foolish： for they know not the way of the LORD； nor the judgment of their God。
5：5我要去见尊大的人，对他们说话，因为他们晓得耶和华的作为和他们神的法则。哪知，这些人齐心将轭折断，挣开绳索。
I will get me unto the great men； and will speak unto them； for they have known the way of the LORD； and the judgment of their God： but these have altogether broken the yoke； and burst the bonds。
5：6因此，林中的狮子必害死他们。晚上（或作野地）的豺狼必灭绝他们。豹子要在城外窥伺他们。凡出城的必被撕碎。因为他们的罪过极多，背道的事也加增了。
Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them； and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them； a leopard shall watch over their cities： every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces： because their transgressions are many； and their backslidings are increased。
5：7我怎能赦免你呢。你的儿女离弃我，又指着那不是神的起誓。我使他们饱足，他们就行奸淫，成群地聚集在娼妓家里。
How shall I pardon thee for this？ thy children have forsaken me； and sworn by them that are no gods： when I had fed them to the full； they then mitted adultery； and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses。
5：8他们像喂饱的马到处乱跑，各向他邻舍的妻发嘶声。
They were as fed horses in the morning： every one neighed after his neighbour's wife。
5：9耶和华说，我岂不因这些事讨罪呢。岂不报复这样的国民呢。
Shall I not visit for these things？ saith the LORD： and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this？
5：10你们要上她葡萄园的墙施行毁坏，但不可毁坏净尽，只可除掉她的枝子，因为不属耶和华。
Go ye up upon her walls； and destroy； but make not a full end： take away her battlements； for they are not the LORD's。
5：11原来以色列家和犹大家大行诡诈攻击我。这是耶和华说的。
For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me； saith the LORD。
5：12他们不认耶和华，说，这并不是他，灾祸必不临到我们。刀剑和饥荒，我们也看不见。
They have belied the LORD； and said； It is not he； neither shall evil e upon us； neither shall we see sword nor famine：
5：13先知的话必成为风。道也不在他们里面。这灾必临到他们身上。
And the prophets shall bee wind； and the word is not in them： thus shall it be done unto them。
5：14所以耶和华万军之神如此说，因为百姓说这话，我必使我的话在你口中为火，使他们为柴。这火便将他们烧灭。
Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts； Because ye speak this word； behold； I will make my words in thy mouth fire； and this people wood； and it shall devour them。
5：15耶和华说，以色列家阿，我必使一国的民从远方来攻击你，是强盛的国，是从古而有的国。他们的言语你不晓得，他们的话你不明白。
Lo； I will bring a nation upon you from far； O house of Israel； saith the LORD： it is a mighty nation； it is an ancient nation； a nation whose language thou knowest not； neither understandest what they say。
5：16他们的箭袋是敞开的坟墓。他们都是勇士。
Their quiver is as an open sepulchre； they are all mighty men。
5：17他们必吃尽你的庄稼和你的粮食，是你儿女该吃的。必吃尽你的牛羊，吃尽你的葡萄和无花果。又必用刀毁坏你所倚靠的坚固城。
And they shall eat up thine harvest； and thy bread； which thy sons and thy daughters should eat： they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds： they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees： they shall impoverish thy fenced cities； wherein thou trustedst； with the sword。
5：18耶和华说，就是到那时，我也不将你们毁灭净尽。
Nevertheless in those days； saith the LORD； I will not make a full end with you。
5：19百姓若说，耶和华我们的神为什么向我们行这一切事呢。你就对他们说，你们怎样离弃耶和华（原文作我），在你们的地上事奉外邦神，也必照样在不属你们的地上事奉外邦人。
And it shall e to pass； when ye shall say； Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us？ then shalt thou answer them； Like as ye have forsaken me； and served strange gods in your land； so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours。
5：20当传扬在雅各家，报告在犹大说，
Declare this in the house of Jacob； and publish it in Judah； saying；
5：21愚昧无知的百姓阿，你们有眼不看，有耳不听，现在当听这话。
Hear now this； O foolish people； and without understanding； which have eyes； and see not； which have ears； and hear not：
5：22耶和华说，你们怎吗不惧怕我呢。我以永远的定例，用沙为海的界限，水不得越过。因此，你们在我面前还不战兢吗。波浪虽然翻腾，却不能逾越。虽然？？訇，却不能过去。
Fear ye not me？ saith the LORD： will ye not tremble at my presence； which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree； that it cannot pass it： an
