Therefore； behold； the days e； saith the LORD； that this place shall no more be called Tophet； nor The valley of the son of Hinnom； but The valley of slaughter。
19：7我必在这地方使犹大和耶路撒冷的计谋落空，也必使他们在仇敌面前倒于刀下，并寻索其命的人手下。他们的尸首，我必给空中的飞鸟和地上的野兽作食物。
And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place； and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies； and by the hands of them that seek their lives： and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven； and for the beasts of the earth。
19：8我必使这城令人惊骇嗤笑。凡经过的人，必因这城所遭的灾惊骇嗤笑。
And I will make this city desolate； and an hissing； every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof。
19：9我必使他们在围困窘迫之中，就是仇敌和寻索其命的人窘迫他们的时候，各人吃自己儿女的肉和朋友的肉。
And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters； and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness； wherewith their enemies； and they that seek their lives； shall straiten them。
19：10你要在同去的人眼前打碎那瓶，
Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee；
19：11对他们说，万军之耶和华如此说，我要照样打碎这民和这城，正如人打碎窑匠的瓦器，以致不能再囫囵。并且人要在陀斐特葬埋尸首，甚至无处可葬。
And shalt say unto them； Thus saith the LORD of hosts； Even so will I break this people and this city； as one breaketh a potter's vessel； that cannot be made whole again： and they shall bury them in Tophet； till there be no place to bury。
19：12耶和华说，我必向这地方和其中的居民如此行，使这城与陀斐特一样。
Thus will I do unto this place； saith the LORD； and to the inhabitants thereof； and even make this city as Tophet：
19：13耶路撒冷的房屋和犹大君王的宫殿是已经被玷污的，就是他们在其上向天上的万象烧香，向别神浇奠祭的宫殿房屋，都必与陀斐特一样。
And the houses of Jerusalem； and the houses of the kings of Judah； shall be defiled as the place of Tophet； because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven； and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods。
19：14耶利米从陀斐特就是耶和华差他去说预言的地方回来，站在耶和华殿的院中，对众人说，
Then came Jeremiah from Tophet； whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy； and he stood in the court of the LORD's house； and said to all the people；
19：15万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说，我必使我所说的一切灾祸临到这城和属城的一切城邑，因为他们硬着颈项不听我的话。
Thus saith the LORD of hosts； the God of Israel； Behold； I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it； because they have hardened their necks； that they might not hear my words。

20：1祭司音麦的儿子巴施户珥作耶和华殿的总管，听见耶利米预言这些事，
Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest； who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD； heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things。
20：2他就打先知耶利米，用耶和华殿里便雅悯高门内的枷，将他枷在那里。
Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet； and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin； which was by the house of the LORD。
20：3次日，巴施户珥将耶利米开枷释放。于是耶利米对他说，耶和华不是叫你的名为巴施户珥，乃是叫你玛歌珥米撒毕（就是四面惊吓的意思）。
And it came to pass on the morrow； that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks。 Then said Jeremiah unto him； The LORD hath not called thy name Pashur； but Magormissabib。
20：4因耶和华如此说，我必使你自觉惊吓，你也必使众朋友惊吓。他们必倒在仇敌的刀下，你也必亲眼看见。我必将犹大人全交在巴比伦王的手中，他要将他们掳到巴比伦去，也要用刀将他们杀戮。
For thus saith the LORD； Behold； I will make thee a terror to thyself； and to all thy friends： and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies； and thine eyes shall behold it： and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon； and he shall carry them captive into Babylon； and shall slay them with the sword。
20：5并且我要将这城中的一切货财和劳碌得来的，并一切珍宝，以及犹大君王所有的宝物，都交在他们仇敌的手中。仇敌要当作掠物带到巴比伦去。
Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city； and all the labours thereof； and all the precious things thereof； and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies； which shall spoil them； and take them； and carry them to Babylon。
20：6你这巴施户珥和一切住在你家中的人都必被掳去。你和你的众朋友，就是你向他们说假预言的，都必到巴比伦去，要死在那里，葬在那里。
And thou； Pashur； and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity： and thou shalt e to Babylon； and there thou shalt die； and shalt be buried there； thou； and all thy friends； to whom thou hast prophesied lies。
20：7耶和华阿，你曾劝导我，我也听了你的劝导。你比我有力量，且胜了我。我终日成为笑话，人人都戏弄我。
O LORD； thou hast deceived me； and I was deceived： thou art stronger than I； and hast prevailed： I am in derision daily； every one mocketh me。
20：8我每逢讲论的时候，就发出哀声，我喊叫说，有强暴和毁灭。因为耶和华的话终日成了我的凌辱，讥刺。
For since I spake； I cried out； I cried violence and spoil； because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me； and a derision； daily。
20：9我若说，我不再提耶和华，也不再奉他的名讲论，我便心里觉得似乎有烧着的火闭塞在我骨中，我就含忍不住，不能自禁。
Then I said； I will not make mention of him； nor speak any more in his name。 But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones； and I was weary with forbearing； and I could not stay。
20：10我听见了许多人的谗谤，四围都是惊吓。就是我知己的朋友也都窥探我，愿我跌倒，说，告他吧，我们也要告他。或者他被引诱，我们就能胜他，在他身上报仇。
For I heard the defaming of many； fear on every side。 Report； say they； and we will report it。 All my familiars watched for my halting； saying； Peradventure he will be enticed； and we shall prevail against him； and we shall take our revenge on him。
20：11然而，耶和华与我同在，好像甚可怕的勇士。因此，逼迫我的必都绊跌，不能得胜。他们必大大蒙羞，就是受永不忘记的羞辱，因为他们行事没有智慧。
But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one： therefore my persecutors shall stumble； and they shall not prevail： they shall be greatly ashamed； for they shall not prosper： their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten。
20：12试验义人，察看人肺腑心肠的万军之耶和华阿，求你容我见你在他们身上报仇，因我将我的案件向你禀明了。
But； O LORD of hosts； that triest the righteous； and seest the reins and the heart； let me see thy vengeance on them： for unto thee have I opened my cause。
20：13你们要向耶和华唱歌。赞美耶和华。因他救了穷人的性命脱离恶人的手。
Sing unto the LORD； praise ye the LORD： for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers。
20：14愿我生的那日受咒诅。愿我母亲产我的那日不蒙福。
Cursed be the day wherein I was born： let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed。
20：15给我父亲报信说你得了儿子，使我父亲甚欢喜的，愿那人受咒诅。
Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father； saying； A man child is born unto thee； making him very glad。
20：16愿那人像耶和华所倾覆而不后悔的城邑。愿他早晨听见哀声，晌午听见呐喊。
And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew； and repented not： and let him hear the cry in the morning； and the shouting at noontide；
20：17因他在我未出胎的时候不杀我，使我母亲成了我的坟墓，胎就时常重大。
Because he slew me not from the womb； or that my mother might have been my grave； and her womb to be always great with me。
20：18我为何出胎见劳碌愁苦，使我的年日因羞愧消灭呢。
Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow； that my days should be consumed with shame？

21：1耶和华的话临到耶利米。那时，西底家王打发玛基雅的儿子巴施户珥，和玛西雅的儿子祭司西番雅，去见耶利米，说，
The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD； when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah； and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest； saying；
21：2请你为我们求问耶和华。因为巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒来攻击我们，或者耶和华照他一切奇妙的作为待我们，使巴比伦王离开我们上去。
Enquire； I pray thee； of the LORD for us； for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us； if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works； that he may go up from us。
21：3耶利米对他们说，你们当对西底家这样说，
Then said Jeremiah unto them； Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah：
21：4耶和华以色列的神如此说，我要使你们手中的兵器，就是你们在城外与巴比伦王和围困你们的迦勒底人打仗的兵器翻转过来，又要使这些都聚集在这城中。
Thus saith the LORD God of Israel； Behold； I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands； wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon； and against the Chaldeans； which besiege you without the walls； and I will assemble them into the midst of this city。
21：5并且我要在怒气，忿怒，和大恼恨中，用伸出来的手，并大能的膀臂，亲自攻击你们。
And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm； even in anger； and in fury； and in great wrath。
21：6又要击打这城的居民，连人带牲畜都必遭遇大瘟疫死亡。
